Terms of Service

AidBridge is a free, student-led educational platform that helps students find and organize information about financial aid, scholarships, internships, textbooks, college costs, transfer pathways, and deadlines. It provides educational information, planning tools, estimates, and links to official third-party sources.

AidBridge is not a government agency, a college, a lender, a financial advisor, a tax advisor, a law firm, or a licensed counseling service, and it is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid, the California Student Aid Commission, or any organization it links to.

• Anyone may browse the public tools.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Younger students may use the public tools — ideally with a parent, guardian, teacher, or counselor.
• If you are under 18, we encourage you to involve a parent, guardian, or counselor in important decisions (like accepting aid or committing to a college), and some listed opportunities may require a parent's permission.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think your account was compromised.
• Information you enter should be accurate — the tools can only be as good as what you give them.

Everything on AidBridge — scores, estimates, calculators, decoded award letters, recommendations, deadlines, checklists, and plans — is general educational information and organizational tooling. It is not financial, tax, legal, immigration, or professional educational-counseling advice, and it is not an official determination of eligibility for anything.

• Estimates are estimates. Real costs, awards, rules, and deadlines are set by colleges, agencies, and program providers, and they change.
• Always verify with the official source — your college's financial aid office, studentaid.gov, the program's own site — before making decisions or relying on a date.
• AidBridge does not guarantee scholarships, admission, employment, internships, financial aid, fee waivers, savings, or any other outcome.

• AidBridge links to third-party websites, programs, scholarships, internships, and openly licensed textbooks. Those belong to their owners; organization and product names are their owners' trademarks. Listing them does not imply partnership, sponsorship, approval, or endorsement in either direction.
• “Reviewed by AidBridge” describes editorial curation only. A separate dated source-check label appears only when AidBridge recorded link-check evidence. Neither signal means AidBridge certifies, operates, endorses, or guarantees the opportunity.
• Requirements, deadlines, pay, and availability of third-party opportunities can change or contain errors. Apply only on the official site, and confirm details with the provider.
• Textbook links point to openly licensed or public-domain materials hosted by their sources. AidBridge does not host the files and does not claim ownership of third-party works. See Copyright & content concerns.
• Organizations can request a correction or removal of their listing — see the copyright/content page.

Don't misuse AidBridge. In particular, do not:

• break the law, or violate others' rights, while using the service;
• try to access other users' data, probe or bypass security, or overload the service;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy the service or its data, or use automated tools to spam our forms;
• submit false, harassing, or malicious content through intake or feedback forms;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and may remove content that does.

Information you submit (profiles, saved plans, help requests, feedback) stays yours. You give AidBridge permission to store and process it to operate the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Please don't submit Social Security numbers, bank details, passwords for other services, or other highly sensitive documents — we don't want them and will delete them if found.

AidBridge's own content, design, and code belong to the AidBridge student team (legal entity being finalized). Third-party content, trademarks, and openly licensed materials belong to their respective owners and are used under their own licenses or as nominative references. AidBridge is a free service run by a small student team. It may change, break, pause, or shut down — features may be added or removed and outages can happen. Keep your own copies of anything critical (like deadline dates confirmed with official sources). We are not liable for data loss, though we try hard to prevent it.

AidBridge is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Information may be outdated or wrong despite our efforts.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the AidBridge student team (legal entity being finalized) and the people who build AidBridge are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, missed deadlines, aid decisions, admissions decisions, or employment decisions arising from use of the service. Because AidBridge is free, if liability is found despite this section, total aggregate liability is limited to $100 or the smallest amount permitted by law.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. This section in particular requires attorney review, especially regarding minors.

Governing law and venue: to be determined with counsel (operators are California-based). This is an open item for counsel. These terms deliberately do not include binding arbitration or a class-action waiver; whether to add one is an unresolved decision for attorney review.

If these terms materially change, we'll update the version and effective date at the top and, for significant changes, note it on the site. Continuing to use AidBridge after a change means you accept the updated terms.

If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
